Metal Wire Gauze Packing

Metal wire gauze packing is one of the structure packing and is formed by vertically arranged weir gauze. The inclination angle of wire gauze to the tower axis is about 30°or 45°(which is illustrated by “X” or “Y”) Every two neighboring sheets is diverse in direction when it is installed. The diameter of the packing disk is a few millimeter smaller than that of the tower (could change and depending on the diameter of the tower) tower section should be closely contact with packing disk. The packing are very applicable the distillation for the hard separation system, the thermo-sensitive system and the process requiring high purity products.

1. High surface ratio and hole space ratio, light weight.
2. Small inclination for gas through; low lost in regular gas through and pressure; low pressure drop.
3. Well expansion in radial direction, thoroughly contact between gas and liquid.  
4. Only clean by applying chemical method. No erosion and blocking.
5. High unit price limits its usage.
